When the corona virus pandemic completely changed the world pulsation and left its heavy footprint on our daily life, for BDO it was important to create a healthy, convenient, stress-free working environment, where health and financial stability of the employees would be guaranteed. For this particular reason, the company initiated a project in March 2020 – Manoeuvring in a new reality – BDO’s virtual office. The project is still ongoing.
Description – Under the conditions having emerged during the pandemic the employees proved to be the main value for the company and taking care of them became the first priority task for it. This was primarily illustrated in maintaining their jobs and salaries by 100%, in caring about their safety and continuity of their development.
During the pandemic Anagi planned and implemented a project aimed at reducing negative impact of Corona virus on the employees, and taking care of their economic and health conditions. The project started in March 2020 and is still going on.

Under the plan a bright new product – vehicle partition, which turned out to be very efficient for preventing virus spread during driving. From the very first days of Covid-19 pandemic outbreak, Ecohouse Factory started taking care of its employees, for which the company worked out a project targeted at supporting its employees during the Pandemic.
During the pandemic Efes Georgia specified protection of its employees health and wellbeing as the first priority. The employees that are not required to be in the field or at the production facilities, were moved to distant working mode.
At the very first pandemic stage support and safety of its employees became of primary importance for GPI Holding. Therefore, it planned and implemented a project – ‘Forward, to the new reality!’, the main goal of which was to retain all the employees and train them to prepare for switching to a new working mode.
During the Covid-19 pandemic (first wave), Hilton Batumi hotel was shut down in compliance with the regulations. It was neither able to host the visitors, nor had any income and its 136 employees were under threat of being left without salaries.

Majerol Georgia implemented a project aimed at creating safe working environment for the employees and maintaining their motivation.
From the very first pandemic stage Rico Express set a plan to create a safe environment, assist the employees materially and protect them under the high risk threat. During decision taking the supervisory council of the company took into consideration the recommendations of WHO and Georgian government, also health condition of the employees, their needs and expectations.
The initiative of Philip Moris Georgia (PMG) ‘Ubi Concordia, Ibi Victoria – creating history during the pandemic’ was worked out by support of the employees and their families, because wellbeing of its employees is the key priority for PMG.
The main challenge of Poti Marine Harbour APM Terminals Poti during the pandemic was to maintain steady operation of the port and uninterrupted and efficient functioning of the supply chain; it was also important to ensure safety of the employees and provide them with convenient working conditions. The company started the project on February 24, 2020 and it is still going on.
In the context of the emergency situation caused by Covid-19 infection, effective from March 23 RMG started managing the processes to ensure safety of the personnel working in the enterprise and to efficiently cope with the epidemiological situation.
Support of the employees was an important challenge during the pandemic, for which several activity directions were selected. The project started in March 2020 and is still going on.
In the context of COVID-19 crisis, the company could have become obliged to reduce the number of working places and consequently the employees, which would definitely have a negative effect on the latter’s financial position. It became necessary to take certain steps from the very first days of the lockdown which helped us to maintain the working places and remuneration to the employees.
