As a rule every September Fair Trees team carries out free and timely diagnostics, prevention and treatment of breast cancer for women living in Ambrolauri and Oni municipalities. Covid-19 put forward new challenges for the company – during the pandemic the planned examinations had to be performed in Ambrolauri clinic, but due to the current circumstances, the clinic manager refused to provide the space.
The worldwide pandemic created a number of new issues for Georgia, but the education system in the country turned out to be facing extraordinary challenges. Transfer to online learning during lockdown was complicated for school children and university students. Considering the problems generally present in Georgian education system and economic condition in general, the schools and universities had no experience or ready system to transfer the entire studies onto online mode.
During the first wave of the pandemic Hilton Batumi decided to take social responsibility and support elderly people, retirees, socially vulnerable and disabled citizens. The program called Travel With Purpose started in April and lasted two months. They partnered with the local government, the Ministry of Health and Social Care, Youth Regional Center and the Georgia Red Cross Society.

Echohouse is a construction company, which has been operating in Georgian market for a number of years. During Covid-19 pandemic the country as well as the business companies found themselves in very difficult situation. Apart from the need to take care of our own employees and to continue working in the maximum protected environment, we were thinking about the complicated situation present in the country. We decided to assist the state in what we were successful: to construct a fever center and transfer it to the clinic which was in its highest demand.
Effective from March 2020 Natakhtari Fund completely directed its attention to the challenges caused by the pandemic; these challenges are managed by Efes Georgia and NGO – Georgia is our Home. From March to date Efes Georgia through consultations with governmental and non-governmental organization, has purchased fast tests of 40,000 GEL value which were transferred to the government; the company delivered disinfection liquid supply to the Center of Infectious Pathology and Aids, and transferred 50,000 GEL to StopCov fund.
The project is targeted at supporting the medical personnel combating Covid-19, which means free psychotherapy support to them. It commenced on July 8, 2020 through support of Europebet and will continue until required.
Starting from March 2020, due to the Covid-19 circumstances, First Steps Georgia foundation suspended normal delivery of services under its programs. The foundation has been EY’s beneficiary since its foundation and we have been permanently aware of their activities and problems. The pandemic created two significant challenges for this organization: condition of children with special needs during quarantine and maintenance of jobs for its employees.
The project implemented by EY was targeted at youth empowerment; several directions were selected to achieve this goal: women empowerment, support to students through their training and employment both in Tbilisi and regions.
The retail leasing brand TURBO of Georgian Leasing Company assumed that they could somehow reduce lockdown tension by providing transportation to various hospital crews. The project started in April and the Company prepared (cleaned, branded) 6 vehicles that were energy efficient and in best condition; the vehicles were insured with relevant (full) packages, filled up with petrol and delivered to the two largest hospitals in Tbilisi.
IDS Borjomi Georgia has been outstanding for its charity projects for years, consequently we promptly set plans to get involved in combating Covid-19 and quite quickly implemented them. During the Covid-19 crisis the company started implementation of charity activities in March 2020 and they have been going on to date.

Facilitation of healthy life style, and especially taking care of the older generation has always been the priority in the social responsibility plan of Liberty Bank. Accordingly, Liberty Bank worked out online projects specifically targeted for individuals over 60.
Social responsibility program – Liberty with Heart – emerged during the pandemic and since April multiple useful projects have been implemented within its framework. The program is large-scale campaign, which along with other directions, provides for support to the most unprotected segment of the society that are in high need of care. For a few years the company has been covering annual utility bills for almost all nursery houses and orphanages registered throughout the country.
For the purposes of preventing spread of the key challenge of 2020 and ensuring its proper management, MBC took significant steps to support both its clients and society, and to empower and protect its employees. The project started in March 2020 and is still going on.
From the very first day of Covid-19 outbreak in Georgia, one of the key priorities of RMG has been implementation of initiative supporting local community. The related activities planned by RMG in response to Covid-19 commenced to be implemented in March 2020 and are still in progress.
Supporting society under the quarantine was targeted at supporting not only one but several segments during the pandemic. The project covered vulnerable groups and provided support to those fighting the pandemic on the front line.

The summer time campaign – We are going to Georgia, taking place from July 22 till September 10, was targeted at support of tourism and popularization of Georgian regions. We are Going to Georgia was a new corporate social responsibility initiative, which through Tera-guides’ adventurous stories was informing about unknown and attractive sights of four regions – Racha, Adjara, Samtskhe-Javakheti and Samegrelo.
