Duty Free Georgia Ltd
In May 2020 Duty Free Georgia took a decision to provide assistance to all the families throughout the country, that were in the highest need of it.
Within the scope of the project, the company approved the budget of 200,000 GEL. Following consulting with the state and private entities, the aid was provided in two stages. At the first stage, the company transferred to Tbilisi City Hall food products, primary need items and pharmacy vouchers for purchase of drugs for their further delivery to 1,527 households. Representatives of Tbilisi City Hall were present during delivery and sorting out of the products. As during the pandemic movement of the elderly people was restricted, the volunteers trained in Tbilisi City Hall delivered the food products, primary need items and pharmacy vouchers to the selected beneficiaries.
The second stage of the project was implemented in Shida Kartli region, when 473 socially vulnerable families and those with multiple children residing near the border line in Gori, Kareli, Kaspi and Khashuri municipality villages were provided with food products and the baskets of hygiene items.
