EY LLC

The project implemented by EY was targeted at youth empowerment; several directions were selected to achieve this goal: women empowerment, support to students through their training and employment both in Tbilisi and regions.

The project commenced in January 2020 and keeps going.

For the purposes of contributing to gender equality, through collaboration with the Scholarship Fund of the Regional Development Society, university study fees were fully funded for 35 female students. To support women empowerment, in 2020 a course in corporate finances was organized for female students in the company. Over 30 2nd, 3rd and 4th year students attended the lectures within the scope of this project.

In 2020, even during the pandemic the company provided remote professional training to up to 50 students and provided them with jobs ranging from 6 month to one year term in various departments of the company. The employed students have free access to all EY training platforms. They have a chance to take up foreign languages and other non-professional courses. The trainees have an opportunity to continue working in the company.

The company started working out the strategy for regional empowerment in 2018, which means arranging employment in the capital city to the successful students residing in the regions. This activity did not stop during the pandemic. The students are given an opportunity to receive funding for international certification and employment in the company. Two graduates are already employed within the project framework.
