Fair Trees

As a rule every September Fair Trees team carries out free and timely diagnostics, prevention and treatment of breast cancer for women living in Ambrolauri and Oni municipalities. Covid-19 put forward new challenges for the company – during the pandemic the planned examinations had to be performed in Ambrolauri clinic, but due to the current circumstances, the clinic manager refused to provide the space.

Regardless the challenges Fair Trees assumed that they could not allow suspension of the vital projects and took responsibility to implement them under any circumstances. The project started in September 2020 and is still going on.

Having considered the complicated situation in of the country, the company hired a private mobile clinic that would enable examination of the interested women at various locations. The patients with doubtful symptoms were transferred to a qualified clinic for further testing, in compliance with the regulations, to ensure that the tests and treatment were brought to the necessary final stage.

Red Cross society, which was ensuring compliance with the regulations for management of the pandemic as well as safety of the patients and medical personnel, was involved in the project management together with the company employees.

The project provided screening to 171 women; at present 60 of them with the suspicious symptoms are undergoing further examination, their transportation and all additional tests, including surgery if required, until complete recovery will be funded. Plus, all women were provided with 100 GEL dentist vouchers.
