EY LLC

Starting from March 2020, due to the Covid-19 circumstances, First Steps Georgia foundation suspended normal delivery of services under its programs. The foundation has been EY’s beneficiary since its foundation and we have been permanently aware of their activities and problems. The pandemic created two significant challenges for this organization: condition of children with special needs during quarantine and maintenance of jobs for its employees.

The project commenced in March 2020 and ended in July 2020.

The project ensured full funding of the studies for children with special needs, who had been enrolled in the program. Plus, due to the ongoing events, First Steps switched to distant learning and maintained salaries to 60% of its employees.

Through our funding, the foundation succeeded to deliver drugs and daily hygiene items to 60 children at their lodging locations; to pay one-month salaries in full to 17 technical and administrative employees; to fully pay 2 months salaries to 6 specialists in Rustavi branch; to purchase dezo-barriers and disinfection liquids necessary for the office. Overall, the foundation was able to provide proper services.
