During the pandemic the company implemented a project the purpose of which was to support companies as well as the humans left without jobs under the complicated circumstances present at the market.
Within the framework of social responsibility plan ‘Liberty with Heart’, Liberty Bank is implementing a large-scale project together with its partner companies, which share its general values and are willing to provide assistance in overcoming the difficult pandemic period to those people who are in its urgent need.
The purpose of the company is providing to its customers transparent and high quality services adjusted to their needs, in order to maximize their social benefit. For this particular purpose the project commenced in March 2020 and is still in progress. The pandemic had a specific impact on the company customers, as majority of them are entrepreneurs and farmers; the crisis significantly affected their revenues, consequently they were facing certain payment problems.
The purpose of the project implemented in cooperation between Ki Ki and the schools in mountainous regions was to resolve the problem present at the schools in the mountainous regions of Georgia. These schools have no sewage systems and the school children had to use messy, unorganized bathrooms. This problem became most urgent during the pandemic when compliance with the hygiene norms became one of the most important terms for the virus prevention.
During Covid-19 pandemic Liberty Bank took an unprecedented decision and implemented a 100 million GEL plan of advance pension payment with its own resources. Under this initiative and at the bank’s decision, prior to introduction of the lockdown, primarily the customers over 70 in high-risk group were paid pensions for March, April and May in advance from the resources of the Bank, followed by similar payments to customers aged from 60 to 70.
During the pandemic delivery of digital services to the customers turned out to be important. This service was introduced in TBC at the starting stage of the pandemic; accordingly, it was essential to offer more convenient and cheap service. The project started in March 2020 and is still going on.
