Tegeta Holding

In Georgia, as in many other countries, children with Down syndrome encounter numerous challenges and obstacles. Continued efforts are crucial to ensure that these children have access to the opportunities they need to thrive. 

In order to raise awareness about Down syndrome in society and foster an inclusive environment, Tegeta Holding collaborated with the Down's Syndrome Association to implement the "Tegeta X Babale" project. This project ran from December 2022 to December 2023.

In the initial stage of the project in 2022, Tegeta took the initiative to create a unique edition of "The Knight in the Panther's Skin." This edition was illustrated with artwork contributed by beneficiaries of the social enterprise "Babale."

The final stage of the project was a charity event aimed at supporting children with Down syndrome, adolescents, and their parents by mobilizing financial resources for the fund. Additionally, the event aimed to raise awareness of crowdfunding culture and engage individuals in beneficial changes. The event featured a charity exhibition and sale, showcasing special visual artworks from "The Knight in the Panther's Skin" and the book itself.

The highlight of the event was the auction, during which 16 paintings created collaboratively by "Babale" and famous artists were sold.

As a result of the charity exhibition-sale, over 20 000 GEL was collected and fully transferred to the "Gigo Fund." Additionally, two weeks after the conclusion of the event, 13,681.60 GEL (equivalent to 5,030.00 USD) accumulated from the same exhibition was donated to the "Gigo Fund" for two tracheal balloon operations for little Salome, who has Down syndrome. It is anticipated that two additional procedures will be required, after which surgeons believe the process will be completed and the tracheostomy will be removed.

"Tegeta Holding" is a supporter of many public communities, which helps to increase the positive impact on the society in which it operates. The purpose of this engagement is to establish constructive relations with them and involve them in the projects carried out by the company over the long term.
