GEC Consulting

Levan Pangani's activities in the direction of sustainable development are well known and recognized in the academic circles of Georgia and the Caucasus region. In different years, he has been the Global President of Oikos International and member of the International Advisory Board of UN PRME and has spoken at and participated in sustainable development conferences in more than 40 countries around the world.

It is to Levan Pangani's credit that social responsibility at GEC is not only implemented as separate activities but is integrated into the company’s strategy, processes and procedures, and consulting practice.

As GEC’s Executive Director and Head of Sustainable Development, Levan is constantly concerned with the motivation and engagement of team members and he strives to raise awareness and encourage sustainable behavior as he himself leads by example. On his initiative, the concept of a "paperless office" was introduced at the company. There is paid maternity leave for mothers and fathers. Remote work and the use of eco-friendly transport are encouraged within the framework of the company’s sustainable transport policy and pro bono activities are integrated into working hours.

Under Levan Pangani’s leadership, a complex and long-term program for the professional development of young business consultants is operating at GEC. Through his leadership and active involvement, GEC established the Institute for Sustainable Development (ISD) whose mission is to promote environmental, social and economic sustainability in Georgia. The Institute’s leading project is the educational platform, sustainability.ge, which has 25,000 visitors every month.

On Levan's initiative, GEC Consulting became a member of the UN Global Compact, a signatory of the UN Women's Empowerment Principles and a member of the Pro Bono Network of Georgia.
