Tegeta Holding
Due to the fact that two-thirds of Tegeta’s employees are men, the company works to constantly implement projects aimed at overcoming gender stereotypes and creating a gender-equal working environment.
From June 2022, in cooperation with the Care Together organization and the United Nations Population Fund, the company introduced Michael Kaufman's training module, entitled Men's Conversations, which aims to raise awareness of gender issues. Together with the presenters, the participants of the training discuss such issues as the father's role in raising a child, the distribution of household chores, gender stereotypes and overcoming them, violence, toxic masculinity and an equal working environment. The sessions are provided by the Men Care campaign.
At this stage, about 100 employees have already participated in the project. A total of 95% of the participants positively evaluate the results of the project and indicated that previously they perceived their own role in the process of raising a child, their relationship with a partner and their relationship with female employees in a completely different way.
The project had a positive impact on the company as well: the company's positive reputation among employees was strengthened and Tegeta was evaluated as a brand that cares for employees and society in feedback received from customers.
It should be noted that in 2021-2022, together with the Movement for Change organization, Tegeta implemented an unprecedented project entitled Profession Has no Gender within the framework of which girls interested in the auto industry were retrained and then employed as mechanics. The project created a great positive response in society as a result of which several more girls joined Tegeta's team.
Tegeta Holding will continue to implement gender-sensitive projects in the future.
