Tene
In 2021, Tene launched the production of the first Georgian eco-friendly USB cable for various electronic gadgets. In line with its core values and business model, the company recycles and then uses discarded bottle caps and damaged USB cables to produce new ones.
Seeing itself as an agent of change, Tene formed strategic partnerships with various businesses and networks to collect plastic waste, advocate for plastic waste separation and promote waste management. Tene collects discarded plastic products from the population and local businesses and runs awareness raising events on eco-friendly initiatives, a sustainable and green economy, and the sustainable management of waste.
In addition, Tene has built its production factory in the Tserovani IDP settlement and trained and employed representatives of the local community. As an equal opportunity employer, Tene provides opportunities for men and women and representatives of vulnerable groups to obtain decent work.
In full adherence with its core values, Tene uses energy generated by solar panels to produce its goods.
