RETAIL GROUP GEORGIA

Nowadays in Georgia due to high rates of unemployment, care deprived youth have a very limited chance to nd a job, realize their potential and become full-edged members of society. The project sought to assist in solving this problem while at the same time envisioned directing the attention of other companies to this issue. We contacted the New Life Chance NGO whose beneciaries are care deprived youth. Together with them, we interviewed and selected six care deprived adolescents who were given internships as sales consultants in top brand shops where they received on-the-job training vis-à-vis service provision. After several months of probation, the interns will receive salaries and incentive gifts as well as become further engaged in a one year vocational development program and receive six modules of training.

The project has delivered an important benet to the company: our team grew with the addition of several motivated, gifted young people and our employee enthusiasm and company loyalty also increased considerably as a result of the participation in the program. A long-term relationship was also established with a partner civil society organization.

„Corporate social responsibility is embedded in the DNA of our company which means believing that we can change people's lives for the better and seeing it as our daily obligation“.
