TBC BANK

TBC Bank gives an opportunity to its employees to take a six-month paid leave for the realization of their business ideas. To this end, a competition will be announced twice a year and employees may apply and enjoy a “maternity” leave if their ideas get positive assessment from an independent panel.

Eligibility requirements for the participation in the project are at least 18 months of working experience at TBC and a business idea that is innovative on the Georgian market. Once the “maternity” leave ends, employees may return to their jobs or fully dedicate themselves to their own business.

The opening for the first wave of applications was announced on June 10. As many as 24 TBC employees have already submitted their business ideas.

The project enables those TBC employees who could not spend much time on developing new ideas for fears of losing their salaries are who are now able to create a business and become employers themselves in the future.

The project is the only one of its kind in the private sector worldwide.
