Ekaterine has 15 years of experience working in the field of climate change. She currently serves as the climate policy expert at the Asian Development Bank.
She began her career in climate change within the public sector, initially at the Ministry of Environment and Agriculture in the Climate Change Division, and later within the European Integration Department of the same Ministry. For the past three years, she has been coordinating climate change projects at the United Nations Development Program in Georgia.
Ekaterine represents Georgia in international climate change negotiations, particularly at the Conference of the Parties to the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change. She is also a certified expert on the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change.
Ekaterine has taught a master's course in environmental policy and law at Ilia State University, as well as a course on circular economy at Caucasus University. She holds a Master of Law degree from Tbilisi State University, a Master of Environmental Management degree from the University of Freiburg, and a Master of Environmental Technology degree from Imperial College London.
