Raisa Liparteliani graduated from the Faculty of Law at Ivane Javakhishvili State University. She has 18 years of experience working in the field of human rights, including 16 years directly in the field of labor rights.

In September 2017, Raisa became the Vice-president of the Georgian Trade Unions Confederation. In 2008, she headed the legal department of the same organization. In 2008-2009, she worked in the organization as a project coordinator for Article 42 of the Constitution.

Raisa has experience working as a legal consultant and as an expert for a number of international and local organizations, including CARE International in the Caucasus, American Solidarity Center, UN Women, German Agency for International Cooperation (GIZ) and the Friedrich Ebert Foundation, etc.

She became t Chairperson of the Labor Law Committee of the Georgian Bar Association in 2018.

In 2018-2020, she was a member of the Youth Committee of the International Organization of Trade Unions and in 2022 she became a member of the Women’s Committee of the same organization.

In 2017-2019, she was the coordinator of the 5th working group of the Eastern Partnership Civil Society Forum entitled Social Dialogue and Labor Rights. In the same years, she became the coordinator of the 5th working group of the civil platform of the Eastern Partnership entitled Social and Labor Policy, Social Dialogue. From 2018, she has been a member of the European Union-Georgian Civil Society Platform (CSP) and a founding member of the Executive Committee of the International Network of Lawyers Defending Workers' Rights (ILAW Network). –She has been a member of the Tripartite Commission of Social Partnership of Georgia from 2020. In 2021, she became a member of the Advisory Board of the LEPL Labor Inspection Service of Georgia and a member of the Accreditation Commission of the LEPL Labor Inspection Service of Georgia.

Raisa Liparteliani is also a trainer on national and international labor standards. She is the author of many publications and other works and a participant of various local and international scientific conferences and forums.
