Finca Bank
The goal of the FINCA Bank Georgia's project launched in 2016 is to increase the level of financial education in Georgia and achieve a change in behavior in terms of the development of a savings culture and in making informed decisions. The partners of FINCA Bank are the Sparkasse Georgia Foundation and the NGO, Society and Banks. The project envisages working with several large target groups: Finca Bank has elaborated and disseminated more than 2,000 interactive books (audio versions of the books were also created for visually impaired children) in schools and libraries for 8-14 year old children for improving their financial planning and management skills.
The bank's employees hold pro bono open lessons on the above-mentioned topic; in the framework of various competitions oriented on entrepreneurship development, the company has awarded more than 100 child deposits (with a minimum amount of GEL200) to the winners. The bank actively works to increase the financial literacy of its employees so that they can better inform their customers. The company also supports clients - farmers and small entrepreneurs - in business development. As a result of the project, the topic of financial education has been put at the top of the agenda. The number of deposits in the target segments has tripled. The training cycle was attended by more than 100 farmers and small entrepreneurs who have already made concrete steps to improve their financial management and business decisions. The loyalty of the bank's staff has also increased.
„The idea and mission of Finca is an example of social responsibility. To take responsibility and care for the region and the citizens whom your business serves is most important for us“. Vusal Verdiyev CEO
