BASISBANK

For many years, Basisbank has prioritized supporting education in the framework of social responsibility. It is important for the organization to integrate disabled and socially vulnerable children / young people into the educational system which will eventually facilitate their employment and selfrealization. The bank cooperates with universities for the proper selection of the target segment. After completion of their studies, students have an opportunity to pursue internships at Basisbank with the prospect of further employment.

Within the scope of the scholarship program, ten entrants enrolled in the internationally accredited Bachelor's degree programs at Iliauni San Diego State University will receive a GEL 2,000 scholarship voucher and five students of Sulkhan-Saba Orbeliani Teaching University will receive GEL1,000 scholarships per semester. Since 2014 and in cooperation with Ilia State University, Basisbank has been annually awarding the Pascal Prize, valued at GEL3,000, to young researchers for important international publications. Basisbank cooperated with Public School 202 in 2017 for the integration of children with disabilities. Schoolbooks were created in Braille. Blind and visually impaired adolescents are using the books to study culinary arts.
