Vintylator

The global effort to reduce fashion waste has escalated because the fashion industry ranks as the second most harmful sector on Earth. The "Repair Collections" initiative launched by Vintylator in 2023 aims to address the severe lack of circularity in Georgian fashion industry, which is resulting from the low public awareness and participation in sustainable practices, such as donating and recycling old clothes. Accordingly, the initiative has three primary objectives: educating the public on sustainability, gathering unused goods, and upcycling and reselling them.

The project applies a comprehensive approach, which includes TV show, various events, setting up the Repair Zones at markets, incentivizing clothing donations, conducting educational campaigns, and engaging in B2B partnerships. The founder of Vintylator frequently hosts educational workshops and seminars tailored to individuals from diverse backgrounds and age groups.

The initiative has successfully upcycled over 150 garments, 35 pieces of furniture, and 30 household items.

Looking ahead, Vintylator plans to expand the "Repair Collections" tenfold, open a licensed "Repair Café," and enhance their online presence with a dedicated website. They aim to conduct more workshops, partner with local designers, and increase their production capacity. The overall vision is to create a robust movement that combines various elements of the project into a central force for promoting textile and household item circularity, sustainable and green product development and raising awareness about responsible shopping.

Vintylator, a key proponent of the Green Future Movement, is dedicated to various environmental initiatives. Vintylator helps to establish responsible startups, regularly hosts responsible fashion festivals, spreads green
