Corporate responsibility is an integral part of MBC's strategy and it is reflected in the company's core values. The directions are determined periodically, taking into account the expectations of the interested parties and the requirements of the sector.

Since 2022, the company has been working under the following directions: responsibility towards employees, responsibility towards customers, environmental responsibility and contribution to community support.

In terms of environmental responsibility, the priority directions of the company are as follows: waste management, the responsible consumption of natural resources and energy efficiency, the reduction of environmental pollution and environmental awareness.

In order to reduce office waste, the company cooperates with a company from which it acquires reusable cartridges and it sells its old computers in a secondhand market.

In order to reduce paper waste, the company started shredding its used paper in 2022 and plans to cooperate with a paper recycling enterprise.

In order to reduce energy and water consumption, the use of energy-efficient LED lamps and a heating-cooling system was installed in the company's offices. A “Most Eco-friendly Service Center" competition was held.

The company joined the CENN Keep Georgia Beautiful campaign within the framework of which it organizes regular environmental clean-ups of certain areas in Uplistsikhe.

A total of 80% of the company's fleet consists of hybrid vehicles.

The company does not sponsor activities that harm the environment or may adversely affect sites of cultural or archaeological importance. 

With the current approach to waste management, the company has reduced its electrical and electronic waste to a minimum. A total of 30% of the company's auto loan portfolio is hybrid and electric cars. 

The company's human capital management strategy is based on an inclusive culture. Special attention is paid to creating safe working conditions and an employee-oriented working environment. 

The company has implemented an online platform, Employee's Voice, to provide information to the company's management about any remarks, dissatisfaction and misconduct. 

MBC uses salary increments or bonuses, the opportunity to participate in various events and the prospect of career growth to motivate its employees. 

Through the online Ideas Hub platform, any employee has the opportunity to post new ideas and recommendations. 

A total of 61% of MBC employees are women, including 50% in managerial positions and 60% in management.

Protection of consumer rights means transparent, reasonable and quality financial services. The user is always informed about products and services in a timely manner. For MBC, responsible marketing and communication with customers is part of its corporate responsibility and sustainability. Marketing communications are based on generally recognized ethical standards and are in full compliance with laws and regulations. In order to protect the rights of the customers and improve service, the company has implemented a system for receiving and reviewing complaints. The customer has the opportunity to file a complaint by electronic means (e-mail, website) as well as with the call center. The user will receive information about the results of the review within one month.

Part of MBC's long-term strategy is to provide transparent, fair and responsible lending to both individuals and micro-entrepreneurs engaged in commercial and agricultural activities and offer access to financing.

As compared to 2020-2021, the number of complaints has decreased by 56% a drop in pandemic-related problems and the improvement of the company's services.

MBC actively promotes raising the level of financial education among small entrepreneurs, farmers and young people through its financial education support program called Financial Advisor.

MBC has been a member of the Pro-bono Network of Georgia since 2018 and has been actively involved in various pro-bono projects since then. The introduction of pro bono initiatives at MBC allows it to support and strengthen organizations that work to solve various social and environmental problems and promote the welfare of society and the development of employee skills.

The social enterprise support program has been one of the company's strategic directions since 2022. The company became the first supporter of the Actio impact fund whose purpose is to strengthen social enterprises, both in terms of economic, social and environmental impact. By investing in the fund, MBC makes a long-term commitment to invest USD 5,000 annually over a period of five years.

Youth support: within the framework of cooperation with the civic education program, school students are given the opportunity to do an internship at MBC so that they can make a decision about their future profession with the experience and information gained during the internship.

Charity: support of shelters for the elderly and the Charte project.

Support for women's empowerment: in 2022, 80% of New Year's holiday purchases were made from businesses whose founders and owners are women (social enterprise Chirige, Gemuani and bloomer.ge). Products worth GEL 7,000 were purchased.

Additional activities:

  • Global Money Week – MBC staff informed about 180 children from ten schools about issues such as the history of money, the importance of money management and saving.
  • Support for blog competition - prize money GEL 500.
  • Innovation Camp – more than 100 young people aged 15-18 years took part in the event. The winners supported by MBC were awarded with a prize of GEL 1,000.
  • International Youth Day – MBC awarded the third-place winner with a cash prize of GEL 1,000.

• Savings Week – EMB employees gave fun lessons to 250 children from more than ten schools in Georgia to raise awareness about saving money.
