Efes Georgia

In 2011, the company Efes Georgia founded the Natakhtari Foundation whose purpose is to strengthen and prepare young people without caregivers for an independent life. The project is implemented in partnership with the Association Our Home - Georgia non-governmental organization.

The foundation's work priorities are not only education and employment but also to provide psychological support. Attention is paid to caring for the mental health of young people and providing counseling vis-à-vis their future professions. The types of assistance provided by the fund are diverse: provision of housing, financing of professional or higher education, purchase of textbooks and work tools, financing of medical treatment and medicines, full or partial coverage of travel, utility expenses and others. Fund resources are distributed taking into account the individual needs of each beneficiary.

Since 2011, the fund has helped more than 660 beneficiaries to start an independent life with a budget of GEL 1,042,593. A total of 90% of the beneficiaries are already employed, more than 60% have a stable job, 340 young people received professional education and 72 received higher education. More than 220 young people have learned a craft and completed an apprenticeship with respective masters in the field. Individual psychologist consultations were provided to 660 beneficiaries.

The Natakhtari Foundation’s project also includes an advocacy campaign as a result of which local authorities in Tbilisi and some of the country’s regions included assistance to underprivileged youth in their programs. For example, according to the decision of Tbilisi City Hall, young people aged 18-21s years living in Tbilisi who are living in small family-type houses will receive monthly assistance in the amount of GEL 500 from 2022.
