PALITRA MEDIA HOLDING
A green economy is a constant strategy of the Palitra Media Holding. At the Tbilisi International Book Festival, the company offered book lovers a special project on waste paper in which each person had the opportunity to receive new books in exchange for waste paper. During the three day project, 125 tons of waste paper were collected after which the company decided to make the project a permanent one and located a waste paper collection point in one of Tbilisi's central districts. Later on, the project also moved to the regions.
The waste paper project serves several useful purposes: it makes books accessible for people and at the same time it protects the environment. During the six years of its activity, Palitra Media Holding has turned ve million kilograms of waste paper into modern literature and saved 85,000 trees from being cut down.
The holding plans to increase the dimension of the waste paper project and save more trees.
