Green Initiative

The provision of a healthy environment and the sustainable use of natural resources represent a CSR direction of the company and DIO directs its efforts to make its production, products and activities eco-friendly and safe. company expanded its production with efficient insulating glass allowing the maintenance of an optimal internal temperature in all weather conditions and at lower costs. To generate society’s interest in this product, DIO conducted a marketing campaign using discounts, gifts, advertising and information video clips.

DIO’s production is waste-free as products made in accordance with individual requirements do not leave any post-production residue. Moreover, waste paper is regularly collected in the office and then delivered to a social enterprise, Green Gift, for further recycling. Polyethylene cups were replaced with eco-friendly paper cups. The company often participates in tree-planting events, including the tree-planting event at Mtatsminda Park.

Responsible Employer

The comfort and satisfaction of employees is important for the company and this is something which also contributes to labor productivity. To support the development of employees, the company regularly finances their participation in trainings and educational courses. An internal mentoring program has been introduced under which experienced personnel helps newly recruited employees acquire skills for their professional growth. To ensure a decent and safe working environment, the company established a mechanism for complaints against sexual harassment.

All employees have health insurance coverage. Company personnel is fully equipped with protective equipment. The working environment (both indoors and outdoors) is equipped with all necessary safety devices and first aid points were placed inside workshops. First aid trainings and workshops on ergonomics were conducted for employees.

DIO provides equal employment opportunities. The company has already employed one person with disabilities. Women comprise 49% of the managerial staff. Employees participate in voluntary activities (for example, Festival of Life, Wings for Life World Run, TbilisiMarathon, tree-planting at Mtatsminda Park, etc.).

Responsibility in the Marketplace

DIO is focused on supporting youth and persons with special needs as well as developing Georgia’s regions. To this end, the company often cooperates with both state and civil sector organizations. Among the projects implemented in the past two years is the one under which the company fully equipped IA, an integrated day center for persons with disabilities, with doors and windows as well as blinds and window covers. The center provides disabled children with special needs with opportunities to realize their abilities and develop creative skills.

The protection of cultural and historic heritage is also important for DIO. The company renovated a library and equipped it with doors and windows in the village of Didi Toneti where the famous Georgian writer, Vazha-Pshavela was a teacher. A similar project was implemented along the occupation line in 2018; today this place is a busy cultural space for villagers.

Supporting Communities

DIO is concentrate to support youth and people in need. Also to develop regions of Goergia. With this aim DIO has been implemented different projects with the partnership of governmental and civil society organizations.
