TERABANK

Environmental Responsibility:  Taking care of the environment and a popularization of a healthy life-style is the basic value of Terabank.

A 2018-year campaign, Tera Bike, put the popular viewpoint that Tbilisi is not a city of bicycles under the question mark. During entire summer season, special bicycle racks were installed at five branches of the bank where anyone could easily pick up a bicycle with a Terabank card. Currently, this initiative continues in another form:  people who want to ride a bicycle but do not know how can get special free bicycle riding lessons from Terabank.

Caring about the environment, as an everyday activity, is one of the main priorities of Terabank. In Terabank branch offices, one can notice paper waste collecting boxes and employees are aware of the importance of paper recycling. For having developed the habit of taking care of the environment, 500 bank employees were given potted fir trees in 2017 while customers were given various potted plants.

Employee Responsibility

Various activities directed at the improvement of employee physical and mental wellbeing are carried out through the consideration of their respective interests. It has been a few months already that the practice of spending a useful one-hour break was introduced:  employees from various branches invite one another and spend time together.

Interesting activities are planned on a monthly basis within the scope of the Tera Journal that is oriented at increasing employee interests and knowledge.

All employees are covered with health insurance. For the purposes of financing various emergency/planned surgeries or a family member’s medical costs, an employee support foundation has been established. Employees are free to make contributions to the foundation in any amount and at their own discretion.

The bank continuously looks after the satisfaction and safety of its employees and tries to help with their problems. In this direction, an anonymous notification platform is functioning in the bank’s internal portal. The HR department from time to time organizes meetings for employees in order to become familiar with their needs and requests.

Responsibility in the Marketplace

Terabank keeps trying to maintain flexibility and regardless the currently effective regulations, to account for the interests of various customer groups to the maximum degree possible in the process of creating its bank products. A good example of this is Terabank’s loan for private tutors specially designed for the needs of those teachers whose revenues are not deposited to bank accounts.

Terabank’s communication with its clients is always open, frank and easy because the bank values loyal customers who have trust in the bank and wish to maintain a long-term cooperation.

Support of Population/Separate Communities

The events having taken place in Georgia last summer revealed the necessity of supporting tourism development. Supporting small and medium business is one of the daily activities of Terabank and so the popularization of the tourism business also complies with the bank’s values and goals.

Within the framework of the Teratravel campaign, Terabank branch offices in Tbilisi and the regions also became touristic centers and employees added the roles of touristic advisers to their regular duties, thereby providing visitors with complete information on sightseeing in various Georgian regions, interesting routes and catering locations.
