Mikheil Mirziashvili has been active in the civil society sector for almost three decades. He works on issues related to Georgia's Euro-Atlantic integration, civil integration of the ethnic minorities, regional cooperation, conflict prevention and regulation, democracy development and human rights. He participated in the human rights advocacy program at the International and Public Relations School of Columbia University, USA. He is the co-author of the roadmap and report on Georgia-EU association agreement – Implementation of the EU-Georgia Association Agenda for 2014-2016. Civil Society Assessment. He is also the co-author of the roadmap – About the European Union. Mr. Mirziashvili has five years of experience working in an active international peacebuilding organization.

Mikheil Mirziashvili was elected as a member of the Steering Committee (2012–2013) of the Eastern Partnership Civil Society Forum (EaP CSF). As a civil sector expert, he was engaged in working out the Georgian government's 2017-2020 communication strategy for gaining membership of the EU and NATO. He was also involved in an informational campaign to inform Georgian citizens about the visa-free regime with the EU initiated by LEPL Information Center on NATO and the EU. During 2005-2009, as the Manager of an integration and civil education program of the Fund Open Society – Georgia, he led Civil Monitoring of the European Neighborhood Policy in Georgia, a project he initiated himself.

In 1992, Mr. Mirziashvili and his friends incorporated „Studio Re“, a civil society organization that has been supporting the construction of a democratic state and the development of civil society in Georgia by means of TV-media until today. Together with ten other civil leaders and activists, he also founded a non-commercial legal entity, „Sector 3 – Hub for Development“, in 2019 which is an innovative, creative, dynamic public platform whose mission is to stimulate cooperation among citizens, organizations, sectors and the wider community as well as to find efficient solutions for the sustainable development of the country.
