Khatuna Ioseliani

Since January 2024, Khatuna Ioseliani has been consulting for the International School of Economics at Tbilisi State University (ISET), the leading economics institute in the region.  At ISET, Khatuna is analyzing trends, models, and technologies to identify new partnership opportunities, elevate fundraising, and foster supporter engagement. She is leading the development of communication strategies and tools to enhance outreach. 

Previously, Khatuna served as an Education Officer at UNICEF Georgia. She provided technical and operational support for education programs focused on expanding vulnerable children’s access to quality education. 

At the Open Society Georgia Foundation (OSGF) (2010-2022) Khatuna managed diverse programs strengthening civil society, promoting respect for diversity and social cohesion. Among others, in 2015-2017 with EU support she implemented a project aimed at strengthening the protection of the right to education in ethnic minority regions of Georgia.  In 2020-2022, she implemented yet another EU-funded project that fostered employability and the employment of young women and men in the regions of Georgia through increased supply and accessibility of educational opportunities. 

Earlier in her career Khatuna worked as a South Caucasus Region Manager for the Academic Fellowship Program at Open Society Foundations (OSF), a Project Management Specialist at the United States Agency for International Development (USAID) in Georgia and as Second Secretary at the Permanent Mission of Georgia to the United Nations. 

Khatuna is the co-author of USAID’s Final Performance Evaluation for Strengthening Electoral and Political Processes (SEPPS) (2018), A Study of Youth Perspectives on Education Quality in Situations of Fragility in the CEE/CIS Region with the UNICEF CEE/CIS Regional Office (2010) and Primary and Secondary Education in Georgia with USAID (2003).

 She has an MA Degree in International Politics from the Georgian Institute of Public Affairs (GIPA) and an MA Degree in International Education Policy from Teachers College, Columbia University (USA).
