Loïc van CUTSEM
Director of the Impact Transfer and Fellowship at Ashoka – Austria/ Founder of Cutsem & Partners – Belgium, Vienna, Austria
Loïc studied International Business Management at UCL in Belgium and at the WU in Austria.
He started his career in marketing and finance in the telecom sector before moving towards strategy and organizational consultancy. His strong desire to combine his passion for societal impact with his business background led him to becoming the Director of Sustainability/CSR for a major Belgian telecom operator. In this role, he managed to embed CSR as a strategic priority for the company, launched various social and environmental initiatives delivering both business growth and societal impact, established innovative partnerships and won several awards and recognitions. Loïc also served as advisor for the Belgian CSR network and was a member of CSR Europe.
As his passion for social entrepreneurship and innovation grew stronger, Loïc co-created an accelerator for social enterprises embedded in a larger support ecosystem called Oksigen. In parallel to his managerial role within Oksigen, Loïc coached and advised numerous organizations willing to sustain their activities and grow their impact.
Currently, Loïc works mainly for Ashoka (the largest global network supporting social entrepreneurs), supporting the scaling of societal innovations into new geographies through the Impact Transfer Initiative and coordinating various multi-stakeholder partnerships in different countries.
As a freelance consultant and trainer in the field of social innovation and sustainability, he supports different types or organizations to become more sustainable and impactful. He also serves as a private expert in the Social Entrepreneurship Expert Group of the European Commission (called GECES).
