Kokito

Social enterprise "Kokito" is a united team of people with different abilities, which makes high-quality, environmentally safe wooden toys and products.

The main social mission of "Kokito" is to train the disabled, people with special needs, internally displaced persons, women and various vulnerable groups, to employ them in the production of toys and to promote their full involvement in public life.

The enterprise is established on the base of the furniture enterprise, and by recycling the waste generated in this enterprise, high-quality, environmentally safe, durable, reusable toys are made. Their core principles revolve around waste reduction, recycling, and efficient production methods.

ISO 9001 quality and management standard and EN 71 toy standard are implemented in the enterprise, dust extraction systems are installed.   Employee satisfaction survey is conducted twice a year, they try to develop the skills of employees by their own efforts, try to help unemployed and single mothers, give work-from-home opportunities and assisting inexperienced young people in learning and securing employment. If necessary, employees have the opportunity to stay in the four-bedroom apartments on the territory of the enterprise free of charge. 

In 2023, Kokito opened a store and children's development space, where development workshops are also held and all stages of product use are directly observed. In case of damage to the toy, the customer's needs are always met. Unwanted purchases are also returned. 

Together with the social enterprise "Cube" they conduct free workshops for children, where they develop their mental and physical skills. They support early development centers that are created for children with special needs and send developmental toys free of charge.

"Kokito" is an enterprise with high social responsibility, which brings a lot of good with its results and is a successful example for other businesses of this type.
