Silknet

The establishment of the "Wounded Fighters Support Fund" by Silknet JSC demonstrates a commendable commitment to supporting veterans and military personnel who have sacrificed for the territorial integrity of Georgia. By providing assistance to those who have served in combat operations and peace missions, the fund plays a vital role in honoring their bravery and dedication. Such initiatives not only provide much-needed support to veterans but also contribute to fostering a sense of solidarity and gratitude within the community.

The purpose of the aid is to safeguard the physical and mental well-being of the recipients and uphold their dignity. To achieve this goal, the fund allocates resources based on specific criteria to address various needs, including surgeries, medical services, medications, vocational training, and home adaptations. This assistance also extends to the beneficiaries' family members, particularly their minor children and spouses.

To facilitate this support, Silknet annually earmarks 300,000 GEL for the fund. Moreover, upon its establishment, the foundation actively engages in communication efforts both domestically and internationally with businesses, government entities, and representatives from diverse sectors of society. As a result, donations are garnered to support the foundation's mission.

From 2018 until today, with the co-financing of Silknet, the business sector, the government and private donations, an amount of up to 2,500,000 GEL was collected and hundreds of beneficiaries were financed. They underwent emergency operations abroad, received necessary, expensive medical services and medicines, financed various profile study courses, and more.

The fund commits to utilizing 100% of the funds raised for charitable purposes to fulfill the needs of the beneficiaries. Several Silknet employees are engaged in the administration of the fund, offering their services such as communications, legal, and financial support, among others, as part of Silknet's CSR initiative. Approximately a year and a half after commencing its charitable activities, the foundation obtained recognition as a charitable organization from the Revenue Service.

The project was created and implemented entirely with the initiative and support of Silknet.
