Biodiesel Georgia

Biodiesel Georgia LLC launched a waste oil collection campaign in 2020 which works closely with state structures to regulate the utilization of used waste oil at the legislative level. As a result, the Georgian Parliament issued Resolution #605 in 2022, which resolved the key issue of used oil utilization in Georgia.

Additionally, the company changed the structure of its production line in order to make it possible to process used oil and obtain biodiesel from it. 

The project further enabled the company to introduce an innovative method for the proper utilization and recycling of bioresources, completely cleaning the environment from the pollution of secondary waste oil and for the first time in the history of the country while starting the production of ecologically clean biofuel - biodiesel from waste bbioresources thereby turning a completely new page in the field of Georgian energy and ecology. 

As a result of the project, a new enterprise was opened, more than four dozen jobs were created, the import of oil products into the country decreased, the negative balance of export-import improved, aiversification of energy carriers took place and new impetus was given to the development of agriculture. 

Following the initiative of Biodiesel Georgia LLC, the Ecological Security Fund non-governmental organization was founded which hosted various meetings and seminars and produced video blogs that were broadcast on the internet. Blog topics included the proper use of used oil and grease, the detrimental impact of these wastes on human health, preventive measures vis-à-vis these wastes a,nd best practices from around the world and their application in Georgia.
