Efes Georgia

Environment protection has been one of the priorities for Efes Georgia since 2008. Finances and human resources are mobilized to reduce harmful impacts and introduce eco-friendly measures within the company. 

In 2012, Efes Georgia put a biological wastewater treatment plant into operation. The plant treats wastewater and fecal mass. The initial investment was GEL 6 million while the current annual cost is GEL 400,000. 

The company utilizes energy efficient and energy saving measures within office work and factory operations. The company is saving on electricity and natural gas consumption. All fuel-run forklifts have been replaced with electric forklifts. 

The company has signed a memorandum with the Green Gift social enterprise regarding the installation of so-called green boxes for waste paper collection in the company’s offices. 

In 2022, Efes Georgia started a Sustainable Entrepreneurship program together with the Startup Bureau and Impact Hub Tbilisi. The program aims at supporting Georgian visionaries and entrepreneurs for the sustainable development of the country.
