Oriflame Georgia
In November 2021, the Protect Georgia's Cleanliness organization offered students and teachers of Georgian public schools to participate in an environmental competition within the framework of the Eco-Schools World Project. As part of the competition, students were tasked with cleaning and greening their own schoolyard and, in the process, studying the features of planting and caring for plants which would ultimately contribute to raising environmental awareness among young people and creating the culture of caring for the environment.
Oriflame Georgia joined this project in the part of the competition's communication campaign and the evaluation of the work. In particular, Oriflame awarded six winning schools across Georgia with the main prize of a Cognitive Corner for their schools with literature and furniture made from ecologically friendly materials.
The project lasted until June 2022 and had a large-scale social impact as 152 school children were actively involved in various activities for several months - they consulted with experts, read literature, studied plant species, planted trees and held various eco-events while planning other ones for the future. As a result of participating in the project, Oriflame employees also acquired useful knowledge and experience in relation to environmental issues. The project also had a positive effect on the company's reputation as it introduced the cosmetic company to the public in a completely new way.
Many schools have already expressed their desire to participate in a similar competition next year.
