The bio preparation elaborated by the Scientific Practical Center of Eco Technologies and the method for its utilization aims at addressing a prominent ecological problem - environmental pollution from oil and oil products. Using mechanical and chemical methods are inefcient for a complete clean-up of areas polluted from oil. The bioremediation mechanism, created by the center, is an ecologically clean and fast technology which repeats the soil's self-regulation mechanism and does not cause a negative sideeffect for local ecosystems. The use of this method is feasible for areas polluted from oil and oil products, water areas, reservoirs and areas where the mechanical collection of spilled oil and oil products is not possible. The bio preparation can also be used in areas with a high risk of oil pollution for prevention purposes. The bio preparation was initially used on a large scale in 2004-2006 for the clean-up of an accidental eruption from the Canargo Georgia well. An ecosystem with an area of 410,000 square meters was completely cleaned. In 2005, on an order from Georgian Railways, the corridor across the railway at a length of 3 kilometers and with a width of 20 meters was also cleaned. These methods were used by British Petroleum's Georgian location in 2009. Since 2017, clean-up of the territory at the Gumati hydroelectric station has been carried out.

„The express method developed by the Scientific-Practical Center of Ecological Technologies Ecology Ltd. (Patent No. P 4235) has no alternative in the application on protected areas or sensitive and vulnerable areas of the environment“. Paata Mchedlishvili Director
