MERCURY TBILISI OLD TOWN
The project was elaborated by the regional head office and the idea of its creation was rooted in the occurrence of problems such as: human rights violations at the workplace, discrimination on different grounds, sexual violence, absence of social packages, etc. The document discusses the actions that will protect the employee from the above mentioned circumstances. Currently, the document is being adjusted to the Georgian reality. In a parallel mode, specific procedures were also planned, including vacancy announcements and firing/leaving the job at one's own will. The document's basic principles were also described: promoting gender equality; equal opportunities, involvement and nondiscriminatory approaches; health care, safety and a violence-free environment; education and training, business development, supplier network and marketing activities, the leading role and involvement of society, transparency, measuring and evaluating progress, and reporting. Within the framework of the project, social packages for employees improved in 2017-2018, two disabled persons were employed and 16 employee external trainings were financed. All members of the staff have undergone internal training. An anonymous employee satisfaction questionnaire has been elaborated concerning the employment environment with the answers automatically sent to the head office and an annual company assessment as a responsible employer based on it.
„To be a responsible employer is one of main components of successful business and, therefore, the company spares no effort to support the growth and self realization of each talent“.
