Global environmental, health and safety (EHS) risks are managed by the Global EHS Management System (GEHSMS) at PepsiCo. GEHSMS is based on the PepsiCo Environment, Health and Safety Policy, one of the key principles of which is environmental protection and ensuring human health and safety. According to the EHS08 Standard (Competence, Training, Knowledge), all employees and contractors of PepsiCo undergo EHS training which aims to develop appropriate competences among staff in planning and reporting processes. PepsiCo believes that the staff training is decisive for the company's success. The company ensures that the training topics are maximally adjusted to the work responsibilities of employees.

PepsiCo also provides periodic re-training for the purpose of refreshing information and updating knowledge. The training need is outlined based on the specifics of the particular work position. For each topic, reading material is prepared taking into consideration all the required regulations and standards. Knowledge and skills evaluation tests are also elaborated upon need. The total number of environmental training hours in 2017 amounted to 180. From January to September 2018, the number environmental training hours reached 430.
