LILO MALL

The White House guesthouse in Gonio was selected by the project’s criterion since 80% of its rooms remained unoccupied in July and August and as a result the guesthouse was not able to pay its utility fees. In parallel, Lilo Mall selected 20 low-income employees who could not afford holidaymaking outside of the city and financed the vacations of these employees and their family members in the above-mentioned guesthouse.

The result of the project was a flow of visitors that made up 80% of the occupancy of the guesthouse during a two-week period; thereby, enabling the guesthouse to overcome its financial difficulties. Moreover, the families of 20 employees of Lilo Mall spent a vacation on the Black Sea coast.

After the end of the project, an informational video clip was produced and posted on Lilo Mall’s Facebook page. The video got 220,000 views that, in turn, contributed to the promotion of the guesthouse among potential holidaymakers. Considering a positive feedback received both from employees and wider public, Lilo Mall also intends to implement similar projects in the future.
