Along with many other useful properties, organic wood mulch, due to its characteristic adsorption (absorption) capacity, can limit the emission of dust particles and poisonous nitrogen oxides into the air and thus successfully cope with the above-mentioned environmental contamination.
The management of Geo Mulch decided to launch its own information campaign and to reach the decision makers authorized to address the above-mentioned environmental problems. As a result of this effort and based on the information provided by the company, the Parliamentary Committee on the Environment and Natural Resources developed a recommendation that mulching, along with greenery, must be a mandatory component of the city’s landscape architecture.
The project started in March 2018 and will continue as long as it is needed. During this time, thousands of square meters of land in Tbilisi and other cities have already been covered with mulch.
