Within the scope of environmental responsibility, the company keeps trying its best to minimize the negative impact of its activity, to ensure the recycling of waste and to become actively involved in clean-up activities.

MBC follows an established policy oriented at environmental protection. An action plan has been designed and annual environmental activities are scheduled.

Employees are taking the maximum possible care of natural resources, collecting paper waste and delivering it to recycling facilities. They also annually participate in events dedicated to Earth Day and green actions and have joined a wide-scale campaign, For the Sake of the Environment, under which they regularly remove waste from touristic areas near Uplistsikhe. The company encourages transfers in eco-friendly transport, the office area has plants and plastic disposable cups have been replaced with paper cups.

From 2020, MBC plans to switch to so-called green purchasing.

Under the framework of responsibility towards employees, MBC pays special attention to establishing and maintaining labor safety conditions and ensures conditions supporting and encouraging professional development.

The company maintains an anonymous online platform for submitting complaints, comments and recommendations. For the purposes of encouraging employees, bonus and annual bonus systems are functioning as well as health insurance, salary increase plan, awards and corporate events, etc. The company covers its employees’ pension contributions in full. MBC’s employee composition is balanced in terms of gender.

The company pays a lot of attention to planning and organizing professional development training and educational programs for its employees.

Responsibility in the Marketplace:  One of the key issues for the company is the protection of customers’ rights. This means providing a transparent, thoughtful and dignified financial service.

The attitude towards clients is based on high professional ethical standards and moral values. The quality of the service provided is monitored and a complaint filing and review system is in place.

Since 2017, MBC has joined the Smart Campaign – the largest international campaign aimed at the protection of micro-finance sector customers, once again demonstrating its devotion to the seven main principles (proper product delivery, prevention of extra debt, transparency, reasonable pricing, fair and polite attitude towards clients, confidentiality of the information, grievance management plan).

The purpose of the company is to establish a reputation of being an honest company oriented at customer welfare in the micro-finance market.

For the purposes of supporting the population / separate communities, the company is actively implementing various social projects. Its priority target groups are social enterprises, organizations working on the problems of disabled people, socially unprotected citizens, women entrepreneurs, beneficiaries of orphanages and old age homes, school children and youth.

One of the company’s successful social projects is Financial Adviser under which the company is trying to increase the financial knowledge level for diverse target groups through training, masterclasses and consulting tailored for their specific needs.

Under a pro-bono network membership, MBC employees provide free high-quality professional service to civil organizations and social enterprises with respective needs. MBC funds the Clown Care project for young patients of the oncological-hematological department of the Iashvili Central Hospital and continuously provides support to the Katarzisi charity house.

Since 2016, MBC employees have been participating in the Wings for Life marathon and many other charity projects and campaigns.
